If you have rented a car or minibus with one of these companies when you arrive at Palma Airport head to the rental offices in the Arrivals area to sign your car rental contract.
It is often slightly cheaper to rent a car from one of the companies with premises outside the airport. These companies provide a shuttle bus transfer to local offices. At Palma Airport companies with nearby premises include Centauro, Dollar, Drivalia, Hiper Rent A Car and OK Rent A Car.
All rental companies at Palma provide basic CDW insurance by law, there will be an insurance excess in the event of vehicle damage or theft. Alternatively, customers may purchase the Third Party AXA insurance offered with the quote which will be cheaper than the high-tier products but require a security deposit with the rental company. Customers must pay in Spain for any damage then claim the cost back from AXA separately.
NOTE: It is worth checking if your credit card insurance covers car hire.
Normally a valid credit card must be presented when the car is collected.
If you do not have a credit card, you can rent a car with Goldcar, but only if you purchase their additional Super Relax insurance cover at the desk.
