Most of the rental companies at Faro do not accept American Express cards.
When you view a quote, please check the following information:
Many of the larger rental companies have on-site facilities. These companies include Avis, Europcar, Goldcar, Guerin/Enterprise, SIXT and Hertz.
These companies have desks inside the airport arrivals area and use the large on-site car rental compound which is located a short walk from the Arrivals Hall.
Some of the rental companies such as Zitauto have their collection/return point in the Faro Airport Car Park 4 (also called P4) area of the airport car park, which is also a short walk from the arrivals hall. In the past many more of the local rental companies operated directly from P4, but the local airport authority (ANA) now charges a fee for all cars picked up inside the airport (which is indirectly passed on to the customer).
Some of the local car rental companies use a minibus shuttle bus service to take clients to their local premises. Most of these companies are located just outside the airport along the airport link road which is a short drive from the airport.
Please check the fuel policy of the quote before booking a car. This can be found on your quote by selecting the "Rental Conditions" link.
